BACKGROUND Former Senior Vice President at Netease, Janelle lead multiple teams including IT, Search Engine, Government Relationship and Beijing Technical Departments. Her responsibilities at Netease assist the business growth to become the premier position in China. Her efforts have included developing and maintaining Business Intelligent, Payment gateway, Universal Registration System (URS), Network Infrastructures, Network Security on 163.com, Government Relationship and Strategic Partnership, etc. In 2002, she developed a Business Intelligent (BI) team which is the first BI team among all the internet companies in China. She also led multiple development teams and built up the pay-per-click and search engine system. There the systems generate millions of monthly revenue for the company. Besides, she managed major business development projects involving partnerships with key international companies such as Google for the benefit of company’s growing number of users and advertisers. Since entering the company, Janelle has remained actively involved in government relationship activities as well. Previously, Janelle held positions in Concur Technologies and Digeo Broadband interactive TV at Seattle and she was responsible for product development and management. She is now also X-Lands' CEO, an Internet 3D virtual community based in South China (Guangzhou). She holds a BS in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from the State University of New York at Albany. |
